House Spider_Tegenaria gigantea.

I had the job to put quite a few of these out earlier this year, under the direct supervision of my young lady! So, I thought may as well try and get a shot of one. Once trapped in a conainer it was moved to the fridge for a few minutes. Meanhile I found a convenient place near the house to release the spider and set my camera and tripod up ready in advance. Then I turned the pot upside down on the small rock and waited a few seconds to ensure the spider was still and slowly lifted the pot and quickly focused using live view before firing of a few shots, simply allowing the spider to gather itself and wander off as it saw fit. Taken using my Pentax K3 and petax 100mm macro lens, remote release, f6.3, 1/15 sec -3/10 EV and ISO 400. Stacked and blended with Zeren Stacker Software and processed in lR and PS.
